to having a real visa to stay till my plane leaves on December 3rd. Today Sophie went with me to the bureau de districte to make my final visa request. Everything is in order, we just had to make a few copies, get them signed by the fokotany (kind of like the mayor’s office, but smaller I think), and buy a couple of envelopes. I’ll bring all that back tomorrow morning and it will get sent off. At that point, I’ve done all I can, and it’s just a waiting game to make sure Tana accepts it and actually gives me a visa.
